Our organization’s mission is to provide cultural community activities, build cultural awareness, and most importantly, provide scholarships to underserved/under-represented students in our local community. Our organization thanks all our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, members, and families for the invaluable support and assistance each year. Without the great team effort, partnerships, and collaboration, the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in Southern Colorado would not be possible.
El Cinco de Mayo, Inc. is celebrating 40 successful years in 2024. Over the past 34 years, El Cinco de Mayo Inc. has awarded approximately $339,000 to 470 students in scholarships. This is a remarkable achievement in that all our members are volunteers. Our members work year-round to make this annual event possible, as well as to successfully meet our goal in providing scholarships.
Our organization is always seeking individuals to commit and serve on the committee. If you are interested in getting involved and volunteering your time, talents, and experience, please consider joining our efforts. We welcome anyone who shares the belief that our cultural celebration is an essential piece of our community. It is through the efforts of many, in a unified manner, that we may continue to provide Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Colorado Springs and support local education through scholarships.
